IBM Netezza Performance Server (optimized) connection
To access your data with the IBM Netezza Performance Server (optimized) connection, create a connection asset for it. This connection works with the DataStage IBM Netezza Performance Server (optimized) connector, which has exclusive features for DataStage.
Netezza Performance Server is a platform for high performance data warehousing and analytics.

Create a connection with IBM Netezza Performance Server (optimized)
To create the connection asset, you need these connection details:
- Database name
- Hostname
- Port number: The default is
5480
. - Username and password
Advanced options
Select Use separate connection for TWT to use a separate connection for creating, dropping, or accessing external tables and the Temporary Work Table. The DataStage IBM Netezza Performance Server (optimized) connector uses a Temporary Work Table as a staging area for the rows received from the input link of a target IBM Netezza Performance Server (optimized) connector.
Enter the database name and the optional username and password for the TWT connection. The database must be on the same database server that you specify for the hostname and port properties.
Choose the method for creating a connection based on where you are in the platform
- In a project
- Click Assets > New asset > Data access tools > Connection. See Adding a connection to a project.
- In a deployment space
