Managing IBM Match 360 jobs

IBM Match 360 with Watson processes such as publishing data, matching data, and generating pair reviews are tracked as jobs that you can view and manage from the Jobs screen.

IBM Match 360 jobs are run consecutively, not concurrently. You can start more than one process, but there can only ever be one job that runs at a time, while other jobs wait in a queue.

Start one of the following master data configuration actions to create a job:

  • Publish data assets. Publishing data creates the following job types: data-load-vertices and data-load-edges.
  • Run matching. The matching process creates the following job types: match-bulkderiver, match-bulkmatcher, data-sync-entities, and match-bulkreporter.
  • Generate a pair review. Generating pairs creates the match-bulkpairscorer job type.
  • Customize and tune your matching algorithm. Changing matching thresholds creates the weight-tuning job type.
  • Delete data. Deleting data creates the data-bulk-delete job type.
  • Export data. Exporting data creates the export job type.

For more information about these master data configuration tasks, see Configuring master data in IBM Match 360 with Watson.

The IBM Match 360 Jobs tab shows a list of jobs that have run, or are currently running, on this service instance. From your master data instance, go to Master data home then open the Jobs tab. You can see details such as the job ID, job type, timestamp information, and status. You can also cancel any jobs that are currently running.

You can also see a list of running and recently completed jobs from any master data configuration page. Click the Processes icon processes icon in the action bar.
