Watson Knowledge Catalog has these plans:

• Lite: Use this free plan to try the catalog and policy features before you buy the Standard or Professional plan.
• Standard: Use this plan while you set up your first catalog and policies.
• Professional: Use this plan when you’re ready to deploy catalogs and policy enforcement throughout your enterprise.

You can provision only one Watson Knowledge Catalog instance per IBM Cloud account.

All Watson Knowledge Catalog plans have these features for catalogs:

• Indexing and storage for data, connections, models, notebooks, dashboards, and folder assets.
• AI powered search and recommendations.
• Rating and reviewing assets.
• The base set of connectors to data sources.
• Metadata import from connections into a project or a catalog.
• Profiling of textual data in relational (first 5000 rows only) and unstructured data.
• Data classification of relational data in columns.
• Policy usage statistics to monitor policy activity.
• Policies that contain rules to control access to data.
• Business glossary that contains terms to classify data.

All Watson Knowledge Catalog plans have these features for projects:

• The base set of connectors to data sources.
• Data Refinery to shape and cleanse data.
• Collaboration in projects.
• Gallery for resources to help you learn and samples that you can use.

Some Watson Knowledge Catalog plans include these features:

• Additional connectors to data sources. Standard plan adds the Dropbox and Tableau connectors. Professional plan adds the Dropbox, Looker, OData, SAP OData, and Tableau connectors.
• Activities to view the history of the events performed on the asset.
• IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog integration to import assets.
• Encrypt your IBM Cloud Object Storage instance with your own key.

A set amount of compute usage is included in each plan. Compute usage is measured in capacity unit hours (CUH). With the Standard and Enterprise plans, you can pay for more compute usage.

The number of catalog collaborators allowed by each plan depends on the collaborator roles.
