Using the data model

To calculate the size of your target database, you can use a database storage estimator. Download the database storage estimator template. Add your own data and the estimated storage size of the database is calculated automatically.

To explore the relationships in the data model, you can create an interactive Entity Relation Diagram (ERD file). Relation diagrams represent the actual state of databases and you cannot save any changes that you make. To create an ERD file, connect your data mart to a database tool of your choice and follow the tool's instructions.
