Restrict access to assets without defining policies
When adding a data asset to a catalog with policies enforced, you can already restrict basic access to this asset without defining policies:
- Select a data set, for example, in the community and add it to the default project or download it to your computer. You can then add the data asset to your catalog.
- Select public or private in the Privacy property when you add the asset. Or open the data asset and click the Access tab to edit Privacy when you preview this data asset.
- Select members to enter collaborators who have access to this asset when you add the asset. Or open the catalog and click the Access control tab to define collaborators and their roles for this catalog.
This setting ensures that only selected users can access the information.
