Managing policies

You can edit policy details and remove or assign rules using the Policy Manager.

To work on policies, you must be assigned the Admin role for the Watson Knowledge Catalog service.

You must know the policy’s category to find the policy.

The status of a policy determines whether you can edit it, whether the policy is enforced, and what status you can change it to.

Status Can edit? Enforced? Can publish? Can archive? Can delete?
Draft yes no yes no yes
Published yes yes no yes no
Archived no no no no yes

To edit, publish, archive, or delete a policy, click the action menu next to the term name and then choose the appropriate action.

You can edit these properties of policies, click the edit (edit icon) icon next to the property you want to edit:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Rules

To view and monitor policy activities, open the Data Dashboard.
