Preparing the parties’ configuration

After you launch your Federated Learning experiment, you need to send some information to the parties to enable them to call to the aggregator.

Cloud open beta

This is a Cloud open preview and is not supported for use in production environments.

You should have downloaded the necessary configuration files from the Getting set up for Federated Learning step. If not, download them in the Federated Learning Python SDK, which includes:

  • A party configuration yml file
  • A training handler file

In the View setup information window which you must have open from the previous step in Getting started with Federated Learning, do the following steps:

  1. Look at the Aggregator URL and Remote System ID for each party. The parties need this information to be able to run their yml file.
  2. You can download the configuration yml file or the Python client script of each Remote Training System by clicking on the download icon. When you are done with sending these two pieces of information to each party, close the window to proceed with the training.

Next steps

The next step is to create a data handler file.
