Participating cloud services and discounts
The BYOL to SaaS program provides a deep discount to the participating cloud services and charge metrics. Note that cloud services may have additional charge metrics that are not covered under this program. Cloud services are discounted at 32%. Software programs are delegated as an entitlement ratio of required license entitlements for the eligible cloud services. The ratios indicate the number of IBM watsonx Virtual Processor Cores (VPCs) required to obtain a discount for that individual service or charge metric on cloud.
Table 1. Discount percentages and entitlement ratios
IBM watsonx service | Plan name | Discount | Software to Cloud Ratios (per instance) |
---|---|---|---|
watsonx.ai | Watson Studio Professional | 32% | 8 Software VPCs = 1 Cloud Instance |
watsonx.ai | WML Essentials | 32% | 4 Software VPCs = 1 Cloud Instance |
watsonx.ai | WML Standard | 32% | 8 Software VPCs = 1 Cloud Instance |
watsonx.governance | Essentials plan | 32% | 4 Software VPCs = 1 Cloud Instance |
