Managing risk and compliance with Governance console in IBM watsonx.governance
Use the Governance console in
IBM watsonx.governance to manage risk and regulatory
compliance for generative AI assets and machine learning models.
The Governance console is an integrated
governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) suite that you can use to identify, manage, monitor, and
report on risk and compliance initiatives that span your enterprise. With the Governance console, you can collect metadata about
foundation models and machine learning models to help you achieve your governance goals. You can
also use the Governance console to develop
workflows that support your governance processes.
Deployment differences AI Governance
capabilities differ depending on your deployment environment:
Watsonx.governance on IBM
Cloud provides most AI governance capabilities. You can
integrate the IBM
OpenPages service to enable
the Governance console. All solutions are
available (licensing is required).
Watsonx.governance on Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides the Governance console with the Model Risk Governance
solution only.
From the Governance console, you can view
and manage the following metrics, alerts, and activity:
LLM-specific metrics that measure dimensions for generative AI assets, such as prompt templates
for foundation models. These metrics measure the accuracy and fairness of prompt content.
Metrics that measure dimensions for machine learning models, such as quality, fairness, and
drift.
Alerts that indicate when a metric is less than a threshold.
Workflow activity for moving assets through an approved process flow.
Task lists that prompt for upcoming governance and compliance tasks.
When you open the Governance console, your
user profile is associated with a predefined governance solution that addresses a tailored set of
governance goals. The Governance console
provides the following governance solutions. Your Governance console might include one or all of these
solutions.
Manage AI regulations for models and use cases. Track regulations that impact models and model
use cases. Respond to regulatory changes to make sure that your models and use cases align with
changes to related regulations. Link use cases to regulatory mandates.
