System terms for rules in policies

This information describes the legacy behavior for governance artifacts. See Moving to the new version of governance artifacts.

A system term is the name of an asset property or a user property. It can be the first term in a rule condition.

To replace one of the predefined system terms you can associate it with a business term. The associated business term then replaces the system term when defining rule conditions.

Table 1. First terms in rule conditions
Term Description
Data Class The automatically assigned classification of a column or attribute in the asset.
Asset Manual Classification The user-assigned classification of the asset.
Asset Owner The IBMid of the user who owns the asset. Example: [email protected]
Asset Tags The tags on an asset. Example: Marketing, Client Information, Claim
User Name The IBMid of a user requesting access to an asset. Example: [email protected]
