Viewing query history in Data Virtualization

Data Virtualization Managers can view, search, and filter queries that were run in the service.

About this task

Data Virtualization Managers might find it valuable to review, search, and filter query history to access system performance. This includes sorting by metrics like average response time with a cache, total executions and response time. This data can help Managers optimize resource utilization and address bottlenecks.

Procedure

  1. On the navigation menu, click Data > Data virtualization.
  2. Click Virtualization > Cache management > Queries.
  3. In the Time range menu, select the time range to view a list of queries that ran during that time.
  4. Complete any of the following actions:
    • To view query performance details, click SQL text in the cell.
    • To view the statement of a query, click View query.
  5. Sort queries by selecting any of the following sort options:
    • Average response time without a cache
    • Average response time with a cache
    • Total executions
    • Executions using cache
  6. Filter queries by selecting any of the following filter options:
    • Including or excluding Queries using data caches
    • Response time range.
    • Data caches created.
    • Users that created queries.
