Modifying user roles in Data Virtualization

Modifying user roles in Data Virtualization
You can modify the roles of existing IBM Cloud Pak for Data users after they are assigned.

Before you begin

Required role: To modify a role for an existing Data Virtualization user, you must have the Manager role. For more information, see Data Virtualization roles.

Procedure

  1. On the navigation menu, click Data > Data virtualization to reveal the service menu.
    The service menu opens to the Data sources page by default.
  2. On the service menu, click Administration > User management.
    The User management page with the tabs for Users, and Roles appear.
  3. To change a user's role, click The edit icon. for the user ID and select a new role. Click Edit to save your changes.
  4. To remove a user's access to Data Virtualization capabilities, click The delete icon. for the user ID and click Confirm.
