Modifying user roles in Data Virtualization

You can modify the roles of existing IBM Cloud Pak® for Data users after they are assigned.

Before you begin

Required role: To complete this task, you must have the Manager role. For more information, see Data Virtualization roles.

To modify a role for an existing Data Virtualization user, the Data Virtualization Manager must complete the following steps.

On the navigation menu, click Data > Data virtualization.
The service menu opens to the Data sources page by default.
On the service menu, click User management.

The list of users that have a Data Virtualization role appears.
To change a user's role, click for the user ID and select a new role. Click Edit to save your changes.
To remove a user's access to Data Virtualization capabilities, click for the user ID and click Confirm.
