You can scale your service to one of three sizes: small, medium, and large.
Before you begin
Required role: To complete this task, you must be a Manager. You can scale a service at any time after it is provisioned. For more information, see Data Virtualization roles.
About this task
Scaling a service changes its capacity by changing the number of replicas. For example, when you deploy a service on IBM Cloud Pak® for Data as a Service, the service is typically provisioned with a single replica. You can also scale the virtual central processing units (vCPU) and memory that you want to use. Your current usage appears in the Scaling settings summary on the Scaling settings page.
Procedure
What to do next
- Wait for a notification that scaling was successful. You can continue to work in Data Virtualization while you wait. If you are notified that scaling failed, contact IBM® Support.
- To view scaling history, click on the service menu.
