Revoking access to virtual objects for user roles in Data Virtualization

Data Virtualization Managers can revoke user or role access to any Data Virtualization object. Engineers can revoke user access to objects that they virtualized or own.

About this task

To modify access of a user role to a virtual object, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Click User management > Roles to see the list of roles in Data Virtualization.
    You can click the drop-down arrow of a user role to see a list of users that have a Data Virtualization role.
  2. Click Manage access. Depending on the type of access you want to revoke, click Granted access or Inherited access.
  3. Select the checkbox for the virtual object to which you want to revoke access.
  4. Click Revoke in the virtual object action menu.
