You can create a remote runtime engine and use DataStage® Anywhere with any container management platform.
About this task
DataStage Anywhere can be deployed with any container management platform. Startup scripts are provided for Kubernetes and Docker. You can use multiple remote engines in a project, and multiple projects can use the same remote engine.
Once you select a remote environment as a project default environment, you can only use remote environments in that project. You cannot switch back to using IBM environments for that project's DataStage jobs.
Procedure
To create a remote engine, run an installation script.
- Optional: Follow the instructions in https://github.com/IBM/DataStage/tree/main/RemoteEngine/kubernetes to install with Kubernetes.
- Optional: Follow the instructions in https://github.com/IBM/DataStage/tree/main/RemoteEngine/docker to install with Docker.
- Optional: Navigate to Settings under the Manage tab of your project, select the Remote option, and click installation script.
