Series array charts include individual sub charts and display the Y-axis for all sub
charts in the legend.
Creating a series array chart
- In the Chart Type section, click the Series array
icon.
The canvas updates to display a series array chart template.
- Click Add another sub-chart to define the first series array sub chart.
- Select a variable as the X-axis variable.
- Select a variable as the Y-axis variable.
- Click Add another sub-chart to define more series array sub charts.
- Click the Save visualization in the project control to save the visualization to the project. You can select to also Create a new asset from the visualization, provide a visualization asset name, description, and chart name.
- Click Apply to save the visualization to the project. The new visualization asset is now available under the Assets tab.
Options
- X-axis
- Lists variables that are available for the sub chart's x-axis.
- Y-axis
- Lists variables that are available for the sub chart's y-axis.
- Split by
- Select a categorical variable that creates a table of charts, with a cell for each category in the Split by variable. Like grouping, split by variables essentially add more dimensions to your chart by displaying information for each variable category.
- Legend label
- Specify a sub-chart legend title.
- Title
- Specify a sub-chart title.
- Type
- Select a sub-chart type. Available options are line, bar, and scatter.
- Smooth
- When enabled, the chart shows a smooth curve.
- Show data points
- When enabled, the data point is shown in the chart.
- Primary title
- The chart title.
- Subtitle
- The chart subtitle, which is placed directly beneath the chart title.
- Footnote
- The chart footnote, which is placed beneath the chart.
- XAxis label
- The x-axis label, which is placed beneath the x-axis.
- YAxis label
- The y-axis label, which is placed above the y-axis.
