Work with IBM Cloud Object Storage in notebooks with Python functions

You can use Python functions within a notebook to work with data and IBM Cloud Object Storage. This data can also be in compressed files or Pickle objects.

Read this Working With IBM Cloud Object Storage In Python blog post to learn how to:

  • Get and use your IBM Cloud Object Storage credentials in a notebook.
  • Load data from IBM Cloud Object Storage to use in a notebook. This can be any object of type file-like-object, for example, byte buffers or string buffers.
  • Upload data from a local system into IBM Cloud Object Storage from within a notebook. It also shows how to load a compressed file or Pickle object to IBM Cloud Object Storage.
  • Create IBM Cloud Object Storage credentials for accessing a different IBM Cloud Object Storage bucket than the project's bucket.

You can copy the function code from this notebook: Working With IBM Cloud Object Storage In Python.
